It houses inmates awaiting trial, serving county sentences, or held on state/federal charges.

Los Angeles County operates four main jail facilities plus smaller detention centers. These include Men’s Central Jail, Twin Towers Correctional Facility, Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF for women), and Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic.

Simply search by the inmate’s name, date of birth, or booking number. If the person was recently arrested, it may take a few hours for their information to appear. For faster results, our site provides direct links, search tools, and step-by-step inmate lookup assistance for all Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) jails.

If available, a booking number, case number, or PFN (Personal File Number) will help pull up the record instantly. These details help the LASD inmate search system find accurate matches across Twin Towers, Men’s Central Jail, CRDF, and regional LA County jails.

The LASD inmate database updates multiple times throughout the day, but booking information may take 2–6 hours to appear after an arrest, depending on jail processing times. Facilities such as Twin Towers and Men’s Central Jail receive high arrest volume, so delays are common. Our website provides up-to-date inmate locator resources and guidance when information is not yet available online.

To check recent arrests in Los Angeles County, you can search the LASD inmate system for individuals newly booked into Twin Towers, Men’s Central Jail, and local sheriff stations. Arrest logs may also be available through LAPD, local police departments, and court records. Our site offers direct access to LA County arrest lookup tools, helping you verify charges, bail amounts, and custody status quickly.

To locate an inmate at Twin Towers Correctional Facility (TTCF), enter their full name or booking number into the LASD inmate locator. Because Twin Towers is one of the largest mental-health housing facilities in the country, movement and transfers are frequent. Our site provides dedicated Twin Towers inmate search guidance, bail information, visiting hours, and step-by-step instructions for finding someone currently in custody.

You can search for an inmate at Men’s Central Jail using the official LASD inmate database. MCJ houses pre-trial male inmates, high-security inmates, and individuals awaiting transfer to state prison. If the inmate was recently transferred from MCJ to Twin Towers or another LA County facility, the system will show their updated location. Our website offers a detailed Men’s Central Jail inmate locator guide, including bail, booking, and release information.

The booking process in Los Angeles County typically takes 2 to 12 hours, depending on arrest location, staffing levels, and overall jail population. Locations like Twin Towers, Men’s Central Jail, and major stations such as East LA Sheriff’s Station may experience longer delays during peak times. Booking includes fingerprinting, medical screening, photograph, warrant check, and bail determination. Only after booking is complete will the inmate appear in the LASD online inmate search system.

You can find an inmate’s bail amount by searching their profile in the LASD inmate locator. Bail is calculated according to the Los Angeles County bail schedule, which varies by charge level and enhancements. If bail is not listed, the inmate may be on a no-bail hold, immigration hold, probation/parole hold, or awaiting court. Our website provides complete LA County bail bond information, charge breakdowns, and eligibility details.

An inmate’s release date is displayed in their LASD custody record once scheduled. Release dates depend on court rulings, sentence length, good time/work time credits, and jail processing. For inmates held at Twin Towers, Men’s Central Jail, or other county facilities, release can take several hours after final clearance. If a release date does not appear, the inmate may still be awaiting court or classification or simply is not updated within the system in which you may need to check back . Our site explains how to track release information, step by step.
